Background

Compass Ion is a team of personal finance advisors on a mission to free individuals and families from the burden of worrying about money. By helping their clients plan for and invest in what matters most to them, Compass Ion believes they’re better able to lead lives of significance, however they define that for themselves. As the company, they are committed to investing back into the things that matter most to an individual, a family and a company which is why they donate 10% of their gross profit each year to organizations in their communities that need it most.

The challenge

Financial literacy isn’t something most of us are taught - formally or informally. According to a recent Council of Economic Education study, only 17% of high school students were required to take a semester of personal finance classes in school. In 2020, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York reported that American household debt rose to $14.3 trillion, increasing from $206 billion in the fourth quarter. We all know money is important. Our challenge was to communicate why someone helping you with your money is important.

The approach

Using Compass Ion’s mission as a foundation, we developed a strategy and creative that tapped into the benefits of personal finance. The chance to live freely. To have more time with family and friends. To travel. To support the charities and causes you hold dear.

The rationale

Even with the best laid plans, life is filled with uncertainty. And while we can’t control the winds of change, we can control the sails. Life’s biggest milestones come with financial weight, whether it's
 passing down the family business, finally downsizing to a home
 more suitable for empty nesters or sending your grandkids to college, at Compass Ion, we’re experienced in helping our clients carry
 that weight by customizing plans that make their wealth work
 harder to better prepare them for the big events on the horizon. So when it comes to pursuing your next investment, your next chapter, or helping your family accomplish
 their goals, live freely. So they can focus on the things that matter in the here and now

In alignment with the Compass Ion growth strategy, we focused on positioning them as financial experts that invest with compassion. The things that matter most to clients matter most to them.

The takeaway

With a recent brand launch in the Q2 of 2021 we are still waiting to see the results, but if they match the soft responses we've seen from existing clients this should be a banner year for Compass Ion.
